Conserving Biodiversity – the UK approach
Published by Defra 2007
Our approach to conserving biodiversity in the UK depends on partnership – involving statutory, voluntary, academic and business sectors, nationally and locally – to deliver more biodiversity, for its own intrinsic value, for the vital life-support services it provides, and because it enriches people's lives. Conserving Biodiversity - the UK approach has been prepared by the UK Biodiversity Standing Committee on behalf of the UK Biodiversity Partnership. Its purpose is to set out the vision and approach to conserving biodiversity within the UK's devolved framework for anyone with a policy interest in biodiversity conservation.
